And so it begins!

Hello!  The name's Lane, and you're probably wondering what is up with the picture above.  I've always found art and architecture to inspire and be thought provoking.  I'm hoping this portal will serve a similar purpose for our visitors.

For a bit of background, I've been an AX developer and solution architect since 2011 when I helped a company transition to Dynamics from a legacy Epicor Enterprise platform.  Born an entrepreneur ( started one of the largest Iowa-based web hosting firms while in high school ), I've since realized one can be entrepreneurial in any position, be it self-employed or working for an enterprise. I'm comfortable in both Italian and French languages as well, if that is your go-to.

My goal with AX Developer Connection is to bring folks together.  As amazing as the state of Iowa is ( Iowa is about 4 hours West of Chicago, for those who don't know ), there unfortunately is not a thriving Microsoft or AX user community within a tangible reach.  When a local source doesn't exist, it's time to get the ball rolling!

I'm a frequent user of the Microsoft Dynamics forums, DynamicsUser.net, and follow many of the various MVP blogs.  I'm building a strong team of developers willing to share their experiences.  And, I'd love to hear from you as well.

More to come very soon, from AX infrastructure, to application development lifecycle ( ALM ), to best practices.  If we aren't talking about something, don't be afraid to speak up.

Cheers,
Lane
